Elizabeth Barbone from the website GlutenFreeBaking.com brings “the world of gluten-free baking to your fingertips”. We at Custom Choice Cereal were therefore excited when she sent us an email that one of her readers had asked her if she had tried our customizable gluten-free cereal before. She hadn’t, and it was our pleasure to change this!

Elizabeth posted a review of two customized gluten-free cereal mixes that she created through our website on her blog. The mixes she created are shown in the picture to the right. She wrote that “both blends were a delight! The dried fruits were plentiful but didn’t overwhelm the cereal. Plus, it was a hoot to get bags of cereal with my name on them!” Thanks, we liked your cereal names, too!

Elizabeth must know, she started her review by saying “Oh, cereal, how I love thee!” and admitted to currently having eight boxes of cereal at home. We only like to add that our careful selection of only the highest quality ingredients obviously pays off. Gluten-free has never been so tasty!

Custom Choice Cereal is very proud to have been featured on ABC26 WGNO New Orleans this past Friday during Good Morning New Orleans. Molly Kimball gives advice on how to stay fit without changing one’s lifestyle in her show “Get the Skinny with Molly”, and this time she talked about gluten-free foods.

We really like that Molly has done her homework, points out a few products that contain the evil “hidden” gluten, and mentions how to get tested for celiac disease. Watch and listen what Molly has to say about Custom Choice Cereal’s gluten-free cereal starting exactly 2:00 minutes into the video below. She thinks that our custom gluten-free cereal mixes make a great gift for an Easter basket, and we can only agree with her!

Of course Custom Choice Cereal is also on twitter.com where we can be found under the name @CustomCereal. Some of the people we follow are very active tweeters, and we actually learn quite a lot of interesting news on celiac disease, gluten-intolerances, living gluten-free, and most of all new gluten-free recipes from them.

Our twitter friend @eadibleASH writes the blog the edible perspective with tons of delicious recipes and product pictures that make you want to bite your computer screen! She does not follow a gluten-free diet, so we were very excited when Ashley reviewed our custom gluten-free cereal. She had her gluten-free cereal mix on Friday when she unfortunately woke up with a “crazy pain in her neck” – we can only hope our breakfast treat provided some relief and that she feels better soon!

The mix that Ashley cerealized contained Good Morning Flakes as a base and to which she added apricots, goji berries, almonds, coconut and walnuts. She was “really happy with the amount of fruit + nuts that was in the mix”.

Having had some bad experiences with customer service in the past ourselves, we at Custom Choice Cereal strive to provide outstanding service to our customers and answer any questions within an hour. I can think of more than a few companies that could you a little customer service training for these guys!!!”

Erin Elberson writes the blog gluten free fitness, focusing on “eating well to be well” and “nutrition, fitness, and fun with a celiac spin”. When Custom Choice Cereal came across her blog we immediately said to ourselves that we have to try anything to be featured on it.

In addition to writing a stellar review of our custom gluten-free cereal, Erin mentioned that we are an “advocate for awareness of celiac disease and the gluten-free lifestyle”. She is also the first blogger EVER to mention our Quest for The Hoff, something that is very dear to my heart (Germans loooove David Hasselhoff in case you did not know this). Erin thought this to be “absolutely hysterical and made me almost fall of my chair and spit my coffee onto my keyboard. I love the humor. Points for that!”

Thank you Erin, we definitely like to look at the humorous side of life and appreciate your encouraging words! But honestly, how cool would it be if we could really personally hand a bag of our customized gluten-free cereal to The Hoff??

They say that there is a first time for everything, and it is so true! This “first timer” is related to a review of Custom Choice Cereal’s tasty gluten-free cereal. Our friend Kati started the page GF Milwaukee – Gluten Free in and around Milwaukee, WI on facebook and posted a great review of our customized gluten-free cereal on it. As many celiacs she had a craving for Raisin Bran because she has not been able to have it since she found out that she had celiac disease. Kati therefore creating a simple blend by combining our Good Morning Flakes with raisins. She writes that “the raisins are some of the biggest I’ve ever seen! I had to watch myself that I didn’t eat the entire bag in one sitting!”

If you browse through the site you will realize that our friend Tiffany Janes is one of the most active contributers and in fact wrote one of the first reviews of our customized gluten-free cereal in October 2009.

Custom Choice Cereal talked to Tiffany yesterday, and she reminded us that we never posted her other review of gluten-free cereal mixes on The Essential Gluten-Free Blog. She did an outstanding job and wrote that “the fact that my cereal was made with my choice of ingredients is directly related to the fact that I love it!”.

Even though our recognition of her work is overdue, the actuality and quality of Tiffany’s comments are certainly no less accurate!

We at Custom Choice Cereal wanted to share with you another product review. Sarah from Washington D.C. writes the blog Gluten-free Grazer and published a review on February 3, so we are a little bit behind.

She has embedded a couple of pictures of the product and of our brochure in her review of our custom gluten-free cereal that are worth checking out. Sarah also writes that “there’s such a great variety of textures and tastes inside – I LOVE it”. But see and read for yourself!

Sarah is a gluten-free girl who lives in Milwaukee and loves food. She also writes the blog Celiac in the City on which she posted a great review of our custom gluten-free cereal.

Custom Choice Cereal contacted Jessica and asked her if she could add our custom gluten-free cereal to her list of gluten-free snacks. She now dedicated an entire blog entry to the gluten-free granola with blueberries and strawberries that she created, describing it as “light, crispy, crunchy, with absolutely no skimping on the fruit front”.
