Just three days ago we blogged about a new local group for all people on a gluten-free diet or interested in a gluten-free diet. The group is called Gluten-free in the Triangle and had its first meeting yesterday.
Some of the people were celiac “veterans” while others were newly diagnosed, which facilitated a lively discussion on strategies to cope with celiac disease on a daily basis. It was especially interesting to hear concerns and find out about the dramatic differences in symptoms that celiacs can have. While the section on Custom Choice Cereal’s website dedicated to celiac disease and gluten-free living does not cover all possible manifestations of celiac disease, it covers a fair amount of the typical symptoms that various members described.
A big THANK YOU goes out to Beth who started the group and organized the meeting. It’s a great way to socialize with people who actually understand what’s going on.
