Today we received an email from Kristin Prelipp Oguntoyinbo. She is the photographer at KPO Photo who did the photo shoot for the CEI with us on Friday. The Carolina Entrepreneurial Initiative (CEI) offered to feature our gluten-free custom cereal business in their next newsletter and came by with a photographer to take pictures. It was a lot of fun, and if you have always been wondering what the faces behind Custom Choice Cereal, our office, our dedicated gluten-free mixing facility look like make sure you don’t miss out on the next CEI newsletter! The purpose of the CEI is to promote entrepreneurship across UNC campus, and their newsletter helps to achieve this goal and has featured a lot of great local companies in the past. The best part is that they also include updates about formerly featured entrepreneurs so you can follow their stories. For a young start-up like Custom Choice Cereal this presents a great opportunity to spread the word about customizing your personal gluten-free cereal. As they say: Classic win-win-situation. Leave a commentCustom Choice Cereal went live today with its awesome new face-lifted website. We are extremely excited about this change and hope that you agree with us! We’d love to hear what you think, so please feel free (and be encouraged) to post comments or email us. It may not seem like much but we gave a lot of thought to where we should place the links to the Gluten-free Tips & Tricks, About Us, etc. The goal was to make the main site more user friendly and easier to navigate for you as you create your customized gluten-free cereal mixes. Last but not least we signed up to be included in a blog directory called Technocrati. It requires the posting of a funky code on our blog to verify our legitimacy, so here it is: 3qh68jcdn2. Let’s hope it works. Custom Choice Cereal wishes all of you a great Labor Day weekend! We hope you enjoy these “last days” of the summer of 2009. When it comes to pistachios in cereal most us have a reaction along the lines “Who would think of THAT?!” However, Custom Choice Cereal did think of it because – as a contemporary radio commercial tells us – “Americans love choices”. We tested pistachios in our gluten-free cereal before adding them to our list of ingredients and loved them, but up until now nobody was willing add them to their cereal. It’s almost funny to see how “traditional” most cereal mixes are created. But everything changed this past Thursday! One brave soul finally created the first gluten-free cereal mix ever with pistachios in it! It looked delicious and we are eagerly awaiting feedback that we can then pass on to you. Maybe some of you take this as an encouragement to experiment a little with more non-traditional cereal mixes… |
