Big news: Custom Choice Cereal creates business card

This piece of paper took some serious time to design
It is amazing how long it takes to create a piece of paper measuring 3.5″ wide x 2″ tall.

But when perfection is the standard, as it is at Custom Choice Cereal, even making a simple business card can take quite a while. I think you will agree, however, that few business cards compare to our finished product.

We are making progress on V1.2 of Custom Choice Cereal and look forward to releasing the new and improved website soon!

Vanity URL on facebook

When Custom Choice Cereal created its profile on facebook, we tried to establish a vanity URL. At that time, facebook told us that we have to deal with the nasty automatically generated URL for our facebook presence and could only choose our URL once we reached the threshold of 100 fans. Thanks to all of you this magic number has been reached and you can now easily find us at www.facebook.com/customchoicecereal

It’s the little successes in life that make the day…

Website development

We are as eager as you are to launch Custom Choice Choice Cereal to the broader public, offering customizable gluten-free cereal mixed in a dedicated facility. However, implementing the valuable feedback and suggestions that we have received and keep receiving takes us longer than expected. We identified several projects that are currently taken care of and we decided to update the website as soon as a project is completed. Those of you who follow us will thus see gradual improvements of the site.

Please excuse the delay, but it is proof that the old rule about programming and website development holds true: Take the estimated time and multiply by a factor of (at least) 2.5! As entrepreneurs we learn every day, and this is yet another step on the learning curve…

Impressive…

This will be a short post, but I must say that I am deeply impressed and wanted to share this with you! Patrick just called me (it’s around 9:30pm). He actually was at our mixing facility in the Research Triangle Park where he returned to fulfill an order of gluten-free cereal that Custom Choice Cereal had just received. It’s just a 10 mile drive, but still. We all knew that Patrick was a committed entrepreneur, but that is truly outstanding!
