Custom Choice Cereal has now gone through the first week of operations after the launch of our beta website, and we once more learned a tremendous amount about receiving and fulfilling your orders. Above all we found out that a fine distinction exists between the theoretical internal processes and actual operations…
We wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of you that reviewed our website, ordered some cereal, came by and had a look at the facility, or became a fan of our facebook page. A special thanks goes to those of you who completed several or even all of these “action items” for us!
The team at Custom Choice Cereal is now working to implement the changes and suggestions that you made, and then we will launch to the broader public. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you posted!
Custom Choice Cereal is finally live with a beta version!
After long all the planning and preparations and learning about FDA regulations, nutrition labels, food compliance and current good manufacturing practice over the past couple of months we are proud to be able to announce the launch of our website. Please have a look and explore here!
You would do us a great favor if you would surf the site and provide us with any feedback or suggestions, either by filling out the contact us template or just sending an email to info@customchoicecereal.com We appreciate your valuable input, you can help us improve!
Nobody is perfect. That’s why we at Custom Choice Cereal appreciate your emails with advice, feedback and suggestions of various kinds. In order to provide you another communication channel to reach us and tell us where and what we can improve, we established a presence on facebook. Of course you would do us a great favor if you became a “fan” of Custom Choice Cereal.
Besides, an internet start-up in today’s time can scarcely afford not to be on facebook anymore. As we have learned in the recent past, facebook can even influence Presidential elections…
We said before that the safety of our customers and quality management are the top priority at Custom Choice Cereal. Since our actual ingredients have arrived and great product pictures been taken, it was now time for us to test these ingredients for gluten. This is primarily a safety measure that we take for you.
The results of our tests revealed: all ingredients are truly gluten-free as they should be. Here’s a picture of the test result for the Pumpkin Seeds, showing the test strip on the far left on the results card:
Although it is tough to read, this document says that we passed inspection
The NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services inspected our mixing facility today, and Custom Choice Cereal passed with flying colors! This means you don’t have to wait long to feast on our gluten-free, customizable cereal concoctions. We plan to put the finishing touches on the website next Monday, July 13th and perform rigorous testing during the remainder of the week. Be sure to visit again next week when we will finalize our launch date for the beta version of our website.
More and more people are adopting gluten-free lifestyles in an effort to overcome fatigue, stomach pain, and general discomfort. A recent report from Packaged Facts, a leading market research firm, reveals that the market for gluten-free foods has grown at a rate of 28% since 2004. Even despite the recession, the gluten-free market is still expected to grow at 10% in 2009 and 2010 and will soon reach $2.6 billion. A study published in the Journal of Gastroenterology may explain at least part of this growth, reporting that celiac disease is four times more common than it was 50 years ago.
Custom Choice Cereal was founded with the distinct objective of helping the growing mass of gluten-intolerant consumers to find fresh, tasty, and most importantly safe gluten-free foods. We are looking forward to launching our website and hope to serve you 12 ounces of delicious, gluten-free happiness very soon!
